It's an OW Ezra-centric story. What I remember enough to re-tell is at the end of the story.

Maude unexpectedly turns up and wants something from Ezra. She is at the saloon with Ezra and Vin and perhaps some of the others. I think Maude is speaking in french to keep the others from understanding. Vin is angry and won't let her get whatever it is she wants. I seem to remember that Vin pulls a knife on Maude. If I'm not totally confused and mixing up two stories Ezra's been telling Vin about his up-bringing and the way Maude used him to pay off a gambling-debt by giving him to the captain of a boat.

Not much to go on, I know, but any help is appreciated.




And on a decidedly different note: does anyone remember an OW story where Ezra had his own wooden toy?
