Looking for fic (Oddly enough...)

Right, I'm looking for a particular fic I read ages ago and now can't find. Mainly about Chris, Vin, and Ezra. If I remember rightly, the 'connection' between Chris and Vin was actually some sort of telepathic link, and somehow Ezra gets dragged in to it as well. There was a gunfight as well, and I think Ezra might have got shot.

And now for something completely different: does anyone know of fic where Maude is shown in a positive light? We seem to have an abundance of evil!Maude fic, but very little that's the opposite.
