Help please

I read a story a few months ago and something in RL reminded me of it. I don't remeber the whole story but one part and I was hoping you guys could help me find it.
Ezra for some reason is running around the town barefoot. When the reason he is running around is over with, he relieses that his feet are all cut up. One of the seven notices what happed and they pick Ezra up and carried him to the clinic, needless to say Ezra was not thrilled with this.
Does this sound familure to anyone or am I crazy?
