Need help finding Vin based story

There was a story awhile back which features Vin in bad straits. He
manages to come into Four Corners after he had been all shot up and
someone takes care of him and then Potter offers him a job at the general store
He takes it because he needs badly to heal before he can go back out on
bounty hunting
It was real good.
Does anyone remember it?
Quite long, but so good
I rather liked reading it as it seemed to lead into the pilot of M7..........
so explanation how he came to have the job sweeping the boardwalk.
